Barbara founded Act One, a non-profit incubator for screenwriters and executives in Hollywood.  She wrote The Work, a spiritual thriller. She is a script doctor, a speaker at screenwriting conferences and was (once upon a time) a nun!  Barbara has contributed columns to Christianity and the Arts, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, is an award-winning columnist for the National Catholic Register, as well as co-editor of Behind the Screen: Hollywood Insiders on Faith and Culture. Barbara’s teaches screenwriting at Azusa Pacific University. Her current project is the feature film, Fatima.
